Cedar City sits at the eastern edge of the Cedar Valley, where the urban grid meets the rising slopes of the Eightmile Hills. This 2014 survey captures the community’s westward expansion along Ut-56, reaching toward the lowlands of The Bottoms and the seasonal waters of Quichapa Lake. To the northwest, the landscape transitions into a series of prominent peaks and passes, including Granite Mtn, Swett Peak, and Eightmile Pass.
