Central Peak dominates the northern reaches of this landscape where the borders of Okanogan Co and Ferry Co converge. This 2017 terrain study highlights a complex drainage system defined by the diverging forks of Nanamkin Creek, including N Nanamkin Creek and S Nanamkin Creek. The area is navigated by an extensive network of Bureau of Indian Affairs routes, such as BIA Rd 1002 and BIA Rd 1027, which wind through the high-elevation drainages of Bear Creek and Cub Creek. The presence of the Owhi Fish Hatchery Rd near Owhi Creek in the south suggests a landscape managed for natural resources and conservation within the Colville Indian Reservation region. This network of backroads and watercourses provides a detailed view of the remote mountainous topography between the Sanpoil River and the Columbia River corridors.
