Central Peak rises as the dominant landmark of this highland landscape on the border of Okanogan and Ferry counties. The drainage patterns defined by North Nanamkin Creek and South Nanamkin Creek dictate the local travel corridors, with a network of Bureau of Indian Affairs roads, such as Bia RD 1130 and Bia RD 1002, providing access to the high elevations. The area's focus on natural resource management is evidenced by the presence of Owhi Fish Hatchery Rd in the southern portion of the quadrangle. Other smaller watercourses, including Bear Creek and Cub Creek, carve through the complex topography, while Owhi Creek flows through the western reaches. This 2023 survey documents the intersection of modern infrastructure and the perennial waterways of the Colville Reservation region.
