2017 Map of Co-op Spring

USGS Topo · Published 2017

About this map

The North Hansel Mountains dominate this high-desert borderland where Utah meets Idaho. This terrain is characterized by deep drainage systems like Stark Canyon and Taylor Canyon, leading into the wide expanse of the Pocatello Valley to the east. The arid landscape is punctuated by vital water resources such as the Co-op Spring and the Curlew Valley Reservoir, which historically supported the ranching and agricultural efforts of the region. Much of the western portion of the sheet is managed as part of the Curlew National Grassland, reflecting a land-use pattern established to restore overgrazed territories. Local infrastructure is represented by rural thoroughfares including S Smith Rd, Allen Rd, and W 11000 S, which provide access through the complex topography of the Box Elder and Oneida county lines.
