Vermillion Bluffs dominate the central landscape of this western Colorado survey, rising above a network of seasonal drainages and high desert terrain. The area is characterized by its significant water sources and named geographic markers, most notably Coffeepot Spring in the southeastern portion of the map. This remote section of Moffat County reveals a complex system of dry washes and draws, including Powder Wash and Yellow Cat Wash, which serve as the primary topographic signatures of the basin floor.
