The High Plains borderlands of the Kansas-Colorado state line are defined by a grid of rural section roads and the ephemeral drainage of White Woman Cr. This 2018 survey documents a landscape of transition where Cheyenne County and Kiowa County, Colorado, meet Greeley County, Kansas. The topography is marked by the winding courses of the S Fork White Woman Cr and its variants, including the S Fork White-Woman-Cr, which carve subtle relief into the western plains. While largely devoid of concentrated settlements, the map reveals the systematic organization of the frontier through an extensive network of county roads, such as Co RD 78 and Co RD 88, which facilitate movement across this expansive agricultural and grazing region.
