Shoshone National Forest contains this high-elevation landscape in Fremont County, where the southern Wind River Range terrain defines a network of alpine lakes and dramatic drainages. The Popo Agie Wilderness occupies the western portion of the map, protecting rugged landmarks such as Roaring Fork Mountain and Cony Mountain. The hydraulic character of the region is evident in the managed flow of the Enterprise Supply Ditch and the placement of Worthen Meadow Reservoir, which support the lower valleys.
