The town of Cooper serves as the northern anchor for this landscape, where residential streets like E Fort Worth Ave and W Kaufman Ave meet the expansive waters of Jim Chapman Lake. This massive reservoir dominates the central portion of the map, submerged over the former courses of Doctors Cr and Cannon Cr. South of the lake, the terrain rises into the more complex topography of Harpers Hill, where numerous small watercourses such as Buggy Whip Cr and Mill Br drain into the basin. For those researching family history in the area, several small burial grounds remain preserved around the water's edge and in the outlying areas, including Oak Lawn Cem near town and the remote Lindley Cem further south in the community of Posey. The map also captures the settlement of Klondike and the older municipal water system at City Lakes.
