Iron Peak and the high elevations of Cottonwood Mountain dominate this corner of Iron County, defined by the significant geological presence of the Hurricane Fault. The landscape is a network of drainage systems and watering holes essential to the arid environment, including Mineral Spring, Warm Springs, and White Canyon Spring. Water flows through the Cottonwood Canyon Narrows and along the winding path of Willow Creek, which carves through the central portion of the quadrangle.
