About this map

Mining operations and remote settlements define the landscape of Mineral County during the 1913-1914 survey. High in the San Juan Mountains, Creede and North Creede serve as the industrial hub, supported by the Nelson Tunnel and the Emma Mine. The Denver and Rio Grande railroad tracks the course of the Rio Grande, connecting the mining district to South Fork and the outlying Granger.
