The community of Pike Road anchors the northeastern corner of this Alabama landscape, where the convergence of Highway 82 and Highway 231 defines a growing residential and commercial corridor. Moving south and west, the terrain transitions into a more distributed pattern of crossroads and farms. This area is characterized by an extensive system of man-made lakes and water features, including Arrington Lake Number 1, W C Gibson Lake, and Vongol Lake Number One, many of which support the residential developments of Doral Estates and Rolling Lakes.
