Wilson Peak and Lime Mountain anchor this high-desert landscape in northern Elko County. The terrain is defined by a network of drainage systems and isolated water sources, most notably the namesake Deep Creek which flows through the central portion of the quadrangle. Other vital water points include Sage Spring, Mud Spring, and the perennial courses of Chicken Creek and I L Creek.
