The high-desert terrain of northern Elko County is defined by the Bull Run Mountains, which dominate the upper portion of this topographic survey. Prominent peaks including Wilson Peak and Lime Mtn oversee a landscape of deep canyons and seasonal water sources. The settlement of Deep Creek sits along the eastern edge of the quadrangle, where the terrain breaks toward the Bull Run drainage and Bull Run Canyon.
