Denny and the small settlement of Hoboken anchor this mountainous reach of the Klamath Mountains, where the landscape is defined by the sharp transition between Six Rivers National Forest and Trinity National Forest. The New River carves a deep canyon through the center of the sheet, designated here as the Trinity Wild and Scenic River, and is fed by a complex network of drainages including Quimby Creek, Bell Creek, and Panther Creek. High-elevation landmarks such as Happy Camp Mountain and Lone Pine Ridge overlook the timbered slopes and steep gulches.
