Red Fleet Reservoir sits at the heart of this Uintah County landscape, its waters contained by the Redfleet Aqueduct system. The terrain is defined by a complex network of canyons and draws, including the dramatic Big Brush Gorge and the aptly named Hole in the Wall Canyon. Industrial and recreational interests intersect here, evidenced by the Stauffer Chemical Tailings Pond N to the west and a modern network of mountain bike trails with distinctive names like Jazz-Chromoly Doubletrack and Handsome Cabin Boy. The plateau area is marked by broad spaces such as Donkey Flat and Little Donkey Flat, while the southeastern corner is anchored by the Buckskin Hills. This 2017 survey reflects a contemporary Utah landscape where traditional ranching at Diamond Hills Ranch meets modern infrastructure and high-desert recreation.
