Cherry County and Thomas County meet in this remote Nebraska Sandhills landscape, defined by a series of high ridges and depressions. The boundary follows Co Line Rd, which serves as a primary east-west corridor through the northern portion of the quadrangle. Transport through these dunes is limited to a sparse network of county and private routes, including W Antelope Valley Rd and Hamilton Rd. The terrain is marked by intricate elevation changes characteristic of the region's ancient dune systems, with the Public Land Survey System identifying sections within t25n r28w and t24n r28w. Narrow lanes such as Blue Devil Ln and Peters Ln provide access to the interior of these ranching lands, illustrating the vast, unpopulated nature of the high plains in the early 21st century.
