Oil Spring Mountain dominates the northeastern corner of this 2013 survey, where the high-altitude terrain of the Piceance Basin meets the complex drainage systems of Garfield and Rio Blanco counties. The landscape is defined by a dense network of canyons, including Bear Canyon, Cow Canyon, and the distinct segments of West Timber Canyon and East Timber Canyon. These deep incisions in the plateau guide the flow of the East Evacuation Creek and its many tributaries, such as Missouri Creek.
