Huntington Cr flows through this high-elevation landscape in Elko County, anchoring a complex network of seasonal and perennial drainage systems. The terrain is defined by the headwaters and forks of several significant streams, including Robinson Cr and its lengthy S Fork Robinson Cr to the north, while the central portion is carved by Indian Cr and N Fork Indian Cr. These water sources were vital for early ranching and transit in this part of Nevada, as evidenced by the isolated Little Mud Spring located in the western reaches of the quadrangle.
