Eden Ridge and Hoodoo Ridge dominate the landscape of this corner of Wallowa County, where the terrain is deeply incised by the Wenaha River and the Grande Ronde River. The area’s ranching and wilderness history is evident in the names of high-elevation plateaus like Moore Flat and Grouse Flat, as well as Long Meadows to the west. Evidence of early settlement persists through the Eden Cem, located along Eden Ln near the center of the ridge.
