Red Conglomerate Peaks and the Beaverhead Mountains define the high-altitude boundary between Idaho and Montana on this recent survey. The Continental Divide winds across the northern reaches of the sheet, followed closely by the Continental Divide National Scenic Trl. This is a landscape characterized by deep drainage basins and prominent summits, including Horse Mtn and Knob Mtn, which overlook the headwaters of Medicine Lodge Creek and its many tributaries.
