1975 Map of Elsberry

USGS Topo · Published 1978

About this map

Elsberry sits at the foot of the Missouri bluffs in the mid-1970s, serving as a hub where the valley floor meets the rolling western uplands. The Burlington Northern railroad runs along the base of the hills, connecting the smaller settlement of Dameron to the north and passing the U S Experimental Farm to the south. This landscape is a transition between the productive agricultural bottomlands near Old Kings Lake Creek and the high points of Woodson Knob and Steel Point.
