Desert Mtn rises from the high desert floor of Juab County, dominating the southeastern corner of this arid landscape. This 2020 survey reveals a complex network of seasonal watercourses and modern ranching access routes, centered around the dry channel of the Old River Bed. The presence of the River Bed Reservoir Number 2 and drainage systems like Erickson Wash and South Pine Wash highlight the critical role of water management in this part of the Great Basin. Remote access is facilitated by long stretches of unpaved thoroughfares such as Jericho Callao Rd and Riverbed Ranch Rd, which connect isolated parcels of land across the valley floor. The map provides a detailed look at the relief and topographic contours surrounding the mountain, tracing the ephemeral Judd Cr as it descends toward the flats.
