The Little Wind River and its accompanying hydrological features define this portion of the Wind River Reservation. Unique geothermal landmarks like Washakie Mineral Hot Springs and the Tar Tardy Spring Geyser highlight the area's active geology near the community of Ethete. The landscape is etched by irrigation and water management, visible in the Coolidge Canal and numerous unnamed ditches that support local agriculture.
