Hells Canyon Wilderness and Wallowa National Forest define this high-elevation landscape in northeast Oregon. The topography is marked by a complex system of ridges and drainages, most notably Summit Ridge and Sleepy Ridge, which divide the watersheds of Lightning Creek and Deep Creek. This 2024 survey captures the primitive infrastructure of the area, where the Western Rim National Recreation Trl serves as a primary artery for backcountry travel.
