Secret Valley opens in the northwest corner of this Lassen County landscape, marking a transition between the elevated peaks and the drainage basins below. The terrain is defined by dramatic changes in elevation, rising toward Five Springs Mtn and the namesake Five Springs in the eastern reaches of the quadrangle. Water distribution across this arid environment is traced through several drainages including Secret Cr, Stony Cr, and the long course of Deep Cr.
