Flat Rock Mesa dominates this 2011 survey of Uintah County, Utah, providing a detailed look at the infrastructure of the Flat Rock Oil Field and the surrounding drainage systems. The landscape is defined by a dense network of canyons and draws, including the distinctive Oil Sand Canyon and School Section Canyon, which carve through the high plateau. Resource management is evident at the Towave Reservoir, controlled by Towave Dam on the western edge of the quadrangle.
