Stonelick Creek carves a deep valley through the southern half of this landscape, creating a dramatic topographical contrast to the flatter northern uplands around Goshen. The drainage pattern is defined by numerous tributaries such as Lick Fork and Brushy Fork, which flow toward the East Fork Little Miami River near Perintown. This transition from high plateaus to deeply etched creek bottoms dictated the early settlement patterns and road networks that still define Clermont County.
