Parker Mine and the nearby Rideout Mine are situated in the southern reaches of this high-elevation terrain along the Idaho and British Columbia border. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems, where Grass Creek and Blue Joe Creek flow through the valleys west of Grass Mountain. This 2011 survey by the U.S. Geological Survey and U.S. Forest Service documents a network of forest access routes, such as Grass Creek Rd and Blue Joe Creek Rd, which provide the primary connectivity through these remote peaks.
