1982 Map of Graveyard Peak

USGS Topo · Published 1985

About this map

The John Muir Wilderness and Sierra National Forest converge in this high-altitude 1982 survey, defined by the prominent Silver Divide and the waters of Lake Thomas A Edison. The landscape is a complex network of glacial basins and alpine lakes, including the evocative Lake of the Lone Indian, Papoose Lake, and the clustered Graveyard Lakes below Graveyard Peak. Southern California Edison Co. provided the underwater contours for the large reservoir at the southern edge of the sheet.
