The Green River and White River valleys define this region of the Snoqualmie National Forest, where the border between King County and Pierce County follows the rugged topography. The settlement of Greenwater serves as a primary point of human activity in the southeast, situated near the confluence of the Greenwater River and the White River. To the north, the small locations of Humphrey and Maywood sit along the Green River corridor.
