Lewis & Clark National Forest encompasses the southern portion of this 2017 study, where the landscape is defined by the high peaks of the Front Range and the divide between Glacier and Pondera counties. The topography is marked by prominent elevations such as Half Dome Crag, Kiyo Crag, and Little Plume Peak, which overlook a network of alpine waters including Dog Gun Lake and Minnie White Horse Lake.
