Ch-paa-qn Peak and Hewolf Mtn anchor this high-elevation landscape along the Reservation Divide, marking a significant topographical and administrative boundary. Much of the southern portion of the sheet is situated within the Lolo National Forest, where a complex system of forest roads, such as Dixon 7000 and Edith Peak Rd, provides access to the steep drainage basins of Stony Cr and Rock Cr.

A dense network of service roads follows the valley floors and ridges, notably the numerous numbered branches of the Valley Creek system, including Valley Creek 3000 and Valley Creek 5000. These routes reflect the modern management of timber and water resources in this part of Missoula and Sanders counties. To the northeast, the Broken Circle Ranch Rd suggests the transition from the protected forest interior toward more developed ranchlands.
