The Hitt Mountains and the southwestern reaches of the Payette National Forest define this high-country drainage system in Washington County. The landscape is carved by a network of seasonal and perennial waterways including Hopper Creek, Keithly Creek, and the E Fork Keithly Creek, which converge as they descend toward the Shoe Peg Valley in the southeast. This 2017 survey reflects the remote, utilitarian infrastructure of the region, where a complex of forest development roads and local routes like Reeds Grove Road and Keithly Creek Road provide access for land management and ranching.
