Hyampom Valley and the surrounding Trinity County highlands are defined by the convergence of major mountain waterways. The South Fork Trinity River winds through the southwestern corner of the quadrangle, joined by Middle Cr and Mill Cr near the Hyampom Airport. This area represents a rugged overlap of public lands, where the Six Rivers National Forest meets the Trinity National Forest.
