Igo serves as the primary settlement in this corner of Shasta County, situated at the southern end of a landscape defined by dramatic elevation changes and a dense network of gulches and peaks. The northern reaches are dominated by the waters of Whiskeytown Lake, a central feature of the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity NRA. This area preserves several recreational and historical points, including the Whiskeytown Cem and the Brandy Creek Campground.
