Koluktak Lakes dominate the central landscape of this North Slope wilderness, where the complex hydrology of the Arctic coastal plain is mapped in intricate detail. This 2020 survey illustrates a terrain defined by thermokarst activity, featuring a dense network of thaw lakes and meandering watercourses. To the north, the Price River winds across the tundra, while the southern reaches are drained by Alice Creek. The eastern edge of the quadrangle is marked by the presence of Wolf Creek. The Public Land Survey System grid, including t4n r9w and t5n r8w, provides the only structural reference across this expansive wetland environment, highlighting the isolation and untouched character of the region as it appeared in the early 21st century.
