The Titaluk River meanders across this Arctic landscape, forming intricate loops and oxbows within the northern coastal plain of Alaska. Flowing through the townships of t6n r13w, t6n r12w, t5n r13w, and t5n r12w, the river system exhibits the classic geomorphology of a slow-moving, high-latitude waterway. The southern corner of the area is clipped by the Ikpikpuk River, a major drainage that receives the Titaluk's waters further downstream. This 2017 survey reveals a terrain dominated by thermokarst features and shallow tundra ponds, characteristic of the permafrost-underlain North Slope. The absence of roads or permanent structures underscores the isolation of this region, where the primary landscape features are the shifting channels and seasonal floodplains of the river basins.
