Three Sisters Wilderness spans the high Cascades on this 1960s survey, updated in the early 1980s. The landscape is defined by a dense concentration of alpine and subalpine water bodies, ranging from the larger McFarland Lake and Cultus Lake area to smaller, tucked-away features like Jezebel Lake, Phantom Lake, and Red Slide Lake. The Lane and Deschutes county line bisects the wilderness, following the crest near Irish Mountain.
