Sheep Creek Canyon Geological Area dominates the southern landscape of this 2011 survey, where the terrain transitions from the high peaks of Jessen Butte down toward the managed waters of the Green River watershed. The area's complex hydrology is defined by a network of irrigation works including Lodgepole Canal and South Valley Canal, which redirect flows across Antelope Hollow and Digger Basin. These systems supported the high-altitude ranching and recreation economy long established in this corner of the state.
