Boiling Springs emerges near the southern edge of this landscape, where the borders of Kimble, Edwards, and Kerr counties converge in the Texas Hill Country. The terrain is defined by a dense network of drainages and seasonal watercourses, including the prominent Chalk Cr which bisects the central portion of the sheet. To the north, Ford Canyon and Fleming Draw carve into the limestone uplands, while Dry Cedar Cr winds through the eastern reaches.
