The Escalante River carves through the southwestern corner of this high-desert landscape, joined by drainage systems including Boulder Cr and The Gulch. This 2020 survey illustrates a complex topography of elevated plateaus and deep incisions, where the historic Burr Trl winds across the northern half of the quadrangle. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent benches, most notably King Bench and Steep Creek Bench, which separate the lower drainage basins from the looming Circle Cliffs to the northeast.
