About this map

Bering Land Bridge National Preserve dominates this coastal landscape along the southern reaches of Kotzebue Sound. Mapped by the Army Map Service from aerial photography taken in 1949 and 1950, the area shows a shoreline defined by prominent points and low bluffs. The terrain inland is marked by a network of drainage systems including Sullivan Creek, Reindeer Creek, and Mystic Creek, which flow toward the sound through an environment of tundra and small lakes.
