Lake Marvin serves as a focal point for this section of Hemphill County, situated just north of the Canadian River. The landscape is defined by the drainage patterns of Persimmon Cr and the branching reaches of Boggy Cr and Dry Fork Boggy Cr. This 2012 survey illustrates a region shaped by both natural hydrology and managed water resources, as evidenced by the M K Brown Reservoir. Recreational development is concentrated near the lake, with the Lake Marvin Campground and Old Military Road Campground serving as primary access points. The road network is sparse, consisting largely of rural routes such as Lake Marvin Rd and several county roads including Co Rd 21 and Co Road K, which navigate the undulating terrain between the creek beds.
