Levan sits at the western base of the San Pitch Mountains, where the grid of the town's streets meets the rising elevations of the Uinta National Forest. This 2017 study illustrates a landscape defined by sharp transitions from valley floor to high-country peaks. The town center is organized around E Center St, while the local Levan Cem rests near the mouth of Chicken Hollow. The eastern half of the map is dominated by a complex network of drainages and high points, including Levan Peak and Horse Heaven Mtn. These peaks shed water through numerous canyons and hollows such as Deep Canyon, Maple Hollow, and Slide Rock Hollow. To the north, the terrain transitions into the Levan Ridge and Cedar Spots, while the lower lands are watered by Chicken Cr and Pigeon Cr.
