Boise National Forest encompasses this high-elevation landscape on the border of Valley and Boise Counties. The terrain is defined by the prominent Lightning Ridge and its associated Lightning Spur, which divide numerous drainages including Big Bulldog Cr and Onion Cr. In the southern portion of the sheet, the elevation culminates at Scott Mtn, where the Scott Mountain Lookout provides a strategic vantage point over the surrounding peaks and Lookout Canyon.
