Little Fish Lake and the high desert basin of Little Fish Lake Valley define this portion of the Toiyabe National Forest in central Nevada. The landscape is a network of arid canyons and seasonal water sources, where the Hot Creek Range rises above the valley floor. Water remains the primary driver of movement and naming in this environment, evidenced by the concentration of thermal and freshwater features such as Upper Warm Spring, Hot Spring, and Cress Spring.
