Livengood serves as the focal point of this interior Alaska landscape, situated where the Elliott Highway meets the Dalton Highway. The settlement is closely tied to the surrounding drainage systems, particularly the Tolovana River and its various tributaries such as W Fork Tolovana River and Livengood Cr. The infrastructure of the modern era is prominently represented by the Alaska Pipeline, which traverses the terrain alongside several major access routes and the Livengood Camp Airport.
