The boundary between Tate Co Panola Co divides a landscape of winding creeks and rural settlements in northern Mississippi. Longtown sits in the southwest corner near the Longtown Cem and Askew Grove Cem, anchored by the flow of Indian Creek. To the northeast, the outskirts of Senatobia appear, while smaller hamlets like Crockett and Cypress Corner define the agricultural crossroads. The terrain is deeply carved by a network of waterways including Arkabutla Creek, Butterbowl Creek, and Strayhorn Creek, which have dictated the placement of historic farm-to-market roads.
