Medsger Pass serves as a critical geographic notch in this high-desert landscape of Lincoln County, where the desert ranges converge. The terrain is defined by the high ridges of the East Pahranagat Range, the Pahranagat Range, and the northern reaches of the Sheep Range. This 2018 survey reveals a landscape of limited water and sparse transit, where Lower Lake Spring provides a rare hydrologic marker in an otherwise arid environment. Human passage through these basins and ranges is traced by the paths of Old Corn Creek Rd and Old Corn Rd, which navigate the valley floors between the steep mountain slopes. The map captures a section of the Great Basin where the township and range lines of t8s r60e and t9s r61e overlay a largely undeveloped wilderness.
