About this map

Jacktown and the small settlement of Fowler sit in the southeastern corner of this central Oklahoma landscape, where the prairie begins to break into the wooded drainages of the Deep Fork watershed. The 2018 terrain is defined by the extensive Quapaw Creek flood control project, featuring a series of numbered reservoirs including Quapaw Cr Site 26 Reservoir and Quapaw Cr Site 32 Reservoir that manage the flow of Quapaw Cr and its tributaries. This network of engineered lakes and ponds significantly altered the local hydrology from its original natural state.
